Hi
W Drill
Really good video, thank you!
Excellent job
she doesn't use the swing of his arms well to jump
underrated yet extremely important tips, amazing
What type of balls are those? I would like to use this strategy for my girls.
A lot of good drills to bring on the court for my girls ! Thanks a lot coach !
Very good pratice
What is the name of the gloves? I heard "draz athletic gloves" but cannot locate those online. Thanks
This video is 5yrs old and its still relevant
I use to do kiva when I was little and kenzie is actually one of my cousins. Ig it makes me feel famous lol especially because her grandma which is my great aunt talk a lot for some reason. That part was not needed to say but wtvvv! Anyway I guess since I literally am looked at as a weird family she steps it up 😭😭
Great video
If 13…why Volley-Lite? I thought only 12U uses the light ball?
This tutorial will never get old. Thanks Coach and the Hooligans.
I am trying to raise a team but its not that easy so keep up the good work

Someone know what does he meant with 7 o'clock? I didn't get it
The coaches have done a really great job when it comes to footwork, but it hurts my eye's to see how they almost all connects their arms far to early. They often run a step or two with already connected armes, and when defending spikes they most of the time have them connected before the spike even falls. That will result in slower movement and what we call gulf swings where the ball goes in the wrong direction if the spike is high to the side. Problematic as it's almost more difficult to relearn than to learn it correctly from the start. From Denmark where I have trained in something we call kidsvolley with even younger kids, but I also train older kids and have trained grown-ups. Found the video as I'm looking for simple, but fun, drills for a team of completely unschooled 13-14-year-old girls, I just started up last week. Obviously, the new players are worse than thise in almost every possible way, but at least half have got the arms right part by now already. Hard a 6 years old 1 on 1 some weeks ago, she had never played volley, but something we call handball so she have some understanding of ball games. After 30 minutes she got the armed part and could connect the arms late and pass 2/3 of the balls passed to her with late connection. I'm not saying this to diss these girls or their coaches, in many ways they is really impressive. But I feel like they are doing them a disservice by letting them pass like that in drills. It's not that hard! I have seen teams of grown women standing with their armes to their sides as they are supposed to, but then connecting their arms before the attack falls and before starting to run after a ball. It's really bad skills and often result in them never getting the ball or passing the ball backward when they try to pass it forward. When i told them, they even say 'thats what our old coach told us' still after a few weeks they did the same.
Looks like good movement in the legs and good control, however personally I would not wanna have them keep their arms connected between passes. I think that's a bad habit it takes to long to get them to lose again. It's possible the short time between passes makes it too difficult to get back to the ready position in between for them, but if so I would change it so that they can.
talking about the drill at 0:25
look at 0:37 the bad habit carries over, the girl there connects her arms before she has got where she needs to be. That resulted in her doing a kind of weird running pass when she should not have to(it did end up in more or less the right place). I have no problem in doing running or flying passes for that matter, but only if that's the only way they will get there.
The next girl kind of also connects to early and do a "running" pass.
Again in next drill 4:54 arms to gather before the attack even falls. Easy enough when the attack comes right at you, as the coach does. But not something that will be that helpful against an opponent that will spike hard but high on your sides or softer but where you have to move a few steps. That for me is what they should have had focused on from now on, if it wasn't 5 years old video.
Are you supposed to end with your knees slamming into the ground?
ok
Excellent!! this is just great, Thanks coach
Thank you for all the insight!
Wonderful, very helpful video, thanks a lot!
What is so important about this an one serious point is left out....which many or nearly all Backrow, DS and Libz are NOT trained in 'reading' the setters and the attackers... During warm-ups is a great time for the backrow to study setters and hitters. I have searched high and low for just this... reading the attack.. will put the defense in the best position. We all have watched power teams lose to quick, smart defensive teams that transition to attack and quickly deliver a point... I luv Louisville concept... this is a great starting point for Club and H.S.
Is there any rule that the front 3 need to be inside the 10 ft line? I see that there is essentially 4 girls across the back.
Either way he’ll lose. He’s late with his split step.
最後の春のブルマバレーだった、これから決勝でブルマがなくなった次の第29回が最後の四天王寺緑ふっくらブルマです。
5 years ago an no comments on a brilliant practice drill .. on of the biggest concerns for a coach is the knowledge base of the game. Before the coach even said it... I saw the team bunching up.... how pray tel... because our daughters coaches actually told them to dive in low, bunch up. I told our daughter; This is wrong and any good coach will burn you deep... each defensive player has a job, and a specific position / location on the court and shouldn't unless if tis necessary....they shoudn't have to move very much. Don't become a moth and follow the ball. Defense should train "Read and React" One thing I did notice though in the drill...the player become keyed on the hitter. This in turn pulled the D/S | M/B and L/B in the a cheat mode. they lost sight of the defense...
Awsome 🙏
Big fan sir I’m learning many things from you ❤love from Nepal
No
Como eu amo esse esporte se deixar eu treino 24 horas 😅
Thanks for the tips God bless you guys in the mighty name of Jesus 🇮🇱🦁
great drill
I got that defense for you
I'm sorry, but why are they doing that on their knees and not while standing? Is it to lock in the position more?
this technique is slightly flawed as you don't get full reach potential (with other technique(slighlty streightening the hand before it reaches the ear) you can hit the ball from higher and with more force )but both work as in most cases you hit the ball in front of you slightly (with the loss in hiting height)
this looks like it will f up your knees in normal playing speed
1:17 最低のカメラアングルだな 笑 よくこんな撮り方出来たもんだ
this makes does not make sense in my head... how in the world throwing wrists back and thumbs forward propels the ball backwards... what?
9:10 Where do you get those wrist sleeves from. My daughter had the hardest time being consistent with her target area on her arms.
Do note that alot of professional athletes intentionally dip slightly to the side on alot of hits, pulling their arm to the side instead of to the center if they want a higher ball contact. If you're standing, you will find you can reach higher when you angle yourself, not staying tall. However I'd imagine being stabilized in that position requires more strength, hence the advice to stay straight. I personally find I hit more balls when I stay straight, but I was confused when I saw professional athletes doing something else, especially when serving. If you disagree just watch any professional match on UA-cam. The important thing is that the elbow circle movement remains at a 90° angle to the ground, not swinging left or right, leading to missing the ball/bad hits or shoulder problems. I can recommend recording your own hits and then comparing that to what the professionals or semiprofessionals do and finding the difference in movement and movement timing, not in jump height and spiking speed. (When are they pulling the arms back/forward/up)
Thank you so much. I really needed this for tonight game.
